Victorian Natilla by stucat Victorian Natilla by stucat
*Close up here with hand [link]

Finally got round to finishing the last image of this series!

Thought it would be interesting at doing some female attire from the 19th Century, but also got me thinking about developing Natilla's character some more.
I was inspired by image of a Victorian prosthetic arm that did the rounds a while ago and thought it would fit her perfectly.
In present day she loses her hand from an electrical accident, back then I guess it would be from some messy mechanical error.

Thanks to Tobin and Beck for the pointers on this too!

Great values, the detail on the lace and the ironwork is insane. Is the background over-painted 3D work?

thank you :]
that was the plan with this piece to do more of those kind of details on clothing.
The Bg was all painted, I guess the blur gives it that appearance

This beautiful image as so much detail in it! The back story is very interesting as well. A very pretty prim kitty!! :)

Thank you Gloria! it's a bit more fun being able to figure out what the character is like with their attire

So true! :) Natilla is quite neat and orderly. Some of your other characters don't seem to mind getting rough and messy... do you have interactions between them?

haven't done too much of my own characters interacting, but is something I've been planning doing when I get the time to do my own projects for sure.
It's a fun way of building up the characters :]
